MODEX

In mid-2004 Modex begins to perform in the clubs of Buenos Aires with visceral shows that combine new wave and disco, ideal for the dance floor. The use of synthesizers, tight danceable punk dance beats with powerful bass, the fair share of screaming and distorted guitars along with the particular vocal style are some of the details that make the band a registered trademark.

In 2007 they recorded their first album "Materialize" (EP, 2008 PIAS) through the prestigious label PIAS, managing to capture a very powerful sound reminiscent of the best times of dance punk and new wave of PIL, B'52s, Siouxsie, Talking Heads or Magazine, the band's greatest influences. The following year, the renowned Mexican magazine Marvin in its Yearbook cataloged "Materialize" in the top 80 albums of the year.

Then, with the single "I Feel Like a Zombie", produced by Paul Mogg of DFA Records, they starred in the television campaign for the most important music site from Germany: Musicload.de.

In March 2013 they released their album "A beat of everything" in digital and vinyl, with guests like Barbi of Utopians, musicians from Cosmo, Les Mentettes and Delta del Rio. The song "Better World" was chosen as the song of the week in Blue 100.7 FM.
The band did 3 European tours, one in 2006 and two in 2007, including shows in Spain, England, Germany and Russia; and also in Latinamerica with The Rock Show Tour Marvin Mexico in 2008, organized by the rock magazine Marvin, which included shows in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana and León; they participated in a mini tour in Colombia, in the Estereo Picnic Festival 2011, and in numerous tours in Chile from 2005 to now, performing in Santiago, Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

They toured along Argentina in many festivals as Codigo Pais 2004, International Festival of Electronic Art 404 Rosario, Bariloche Otto Fest, Cosquín Rock 2006, Electro-Rock Festival 2006 in the Orfeo Superdome (Cordoba), Au Fest 2006, Creamfields Buenos Aires 2008, Puma Urban Art 2011, Ciudad Emergente Festival 2013.

They have performed live in most of the finest parties in Buenos Aires: MSTRPLN at Crobar, Compass and Undertones in Niceto, Brandon at the Colegiales Theatre, PM Open Air in Godoy well and in clubs like Kika, La Cigale, Podesta, El Dorado, Voodoo, Roxy Club, Pacha Buenos Aires. In all this way they have shared the stage with artists such as Klaxons, Bag Riders, The Twelves, Bonde do Role, CSS, The Presets, Crystal Castles, Boys Noize, Jorge Gonzalez, Capri, Maria Daniela and Laser Sound, Miranda !, Massacre, Babasónicos, Addicted, Astro and Los Natas, among others.
